Lessons for next 8 weeks
The children will be learning about the Fruit of the Spirit.
Galatians 5:22-23
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
Each week they must tackle a Fruit of the spirit first looking at Bible verse that talks about the issue. E.g For love they could look at that verse in 1 Corinthians 23, love is patient, love is kind.... Then they must look at a parable that Christ told that could be related to the fruit of the spirit. E.g Good Samaritan, then in their groups of 3 they need to act it, in a modern, fresh way.The winning group gets a prize then the best person out of the winning group make a note of it.
At the end of the 8 weeks the one who gets the most best person each week I will buy sketching from America. And for the group that wins each week a pack of Haribo sweets will do for the prize. I really want there to be focused that the Fruit of the spirit are acquired through a relationship with God by reading your Bible and praying though the children are young.
I want them to start owning their own personal relationship with God.
Finally their home work is to memorise their Bible Verse for that week and to do an action that reflects the fruit of the spirit they'd learnt that week.Videos linked to this:
